Two Rivers supporting Autism Hour
2nd October 2017
Two Rivers and
Staines-upon-Thames are working with The National Autism Society, to make
simple steps to an autism-friendly world.
Selected stores and businesses
on Monday 2nd October will be participating in Autism Hour, where
music and noise will be turned down, lights dimmed and sharing information with
employees about autism.
This is just one way we are
looking to support visitors and shoppers in Staines who have disabilities and
learning difficulties. Over the next few months we are hoping that more
retailers will get involved to support an autism-friendly world.
On the last
Sunday of the month, Vue host a sensory friendly screening designed to be an
inclusive and welcoming environment for people with sensory sensitivities and
their loved ones.
If you have any suggestions or
ideas for us to be as autism-friendly as possible, please get in touch.
