After twenty-nine years of waiting, Sonic the hedgehog has finally made his way onto the silver screen in his debut movie, aptly titled 'Sonic The Hedgehog'.   I am pleased to announce this was far from a wasted trip to the cinema, with a little something for all ages to enjoy.   This comes as no surprise to me with the likes of Jim Carry stepping into the shoes of Dr. Ivo Robotnik, bringing his unique style of acting in to play.   This has, in my opinion, turned this classic arcade character into an unforgettable movie villain. Also, let's not forget Ben Schwartz, the voice of Sonic, an actor who has established a career in voicing cartoon characters in well-known animated movies, and who does not disappoint in his role as Sonic the hedgehog.   From start to finish, this blue speedster had me hooked. My eyes were glued to the screen as the director had managed to capture and keep my full attention with an encapsulating storyline full of enough twists and turns to keep any audience member amused.   Throughout this movie, I spotted multiple references to Sonic's past with Sega's game consoles, but this in no way means that you would have to have played a Sonic game nor do you need to be a Sonic fan to enjoy this movie.   For me, this movie gets five stars and was very much worth the wait.   Do not be too hasty to vacate your seat as you will miss the mid-credit scenes.
